Madeleine Holman was born in New York City and grew up in Paris, London, Tokyo and Connecticut. Exposure to different cultures, languages, costumes, architecture, parks and museums formed an integral part of her appreciation for art and the natural world. She lives in Bellingham, Washington, US.

“My work often suggests elements of landscape or still life. I tend to work with the tension between order and disarray, exploring emerging relationships of marks, shapes and color, and moving toward a balance between harmony and contrast.”
